Chongqing, Nov. 5 (Petra) -- The 7th China–Arab States Broadcasting and Television Cooperation Forum began on Wednesday in Chongqing, China, bringing together broadcasters, officials, and media leaders from across the Arab world and China.
Over the next three days, participants from both regions will explore new opportunities for collaboration in broadcasting, digital media, and cultural communication.
Jointly organized by China’s National Radio and Television Administration, the Chongqing Municipal Government, the League of Arab States, and the Arab States Broadcasting Union, the forum focuses on innovation in audiovisual content, cultural exchange, and building mutual understanding through modern media platforms.
Delegates praised the achievements since the last session in 2023, noting the forum’s role in advancing the Belt and Road Initiative and in fostering a more interconnected Arab–Chinese media landscape.
Speakers underscored that radio and television continue to serve as vital bridges between civilizations. They reaffirmed the shared commitment to equality, mutual benefit, and long-term cooperation, calling for sustained efforts to implement the outcomes of the 2022 Arab–Chinese Summit and the 2024 Ministerial Meeting of the Arab–Chinese Cooperation Forum.
