New York, Sept 15 (Petra) – Major U.S. stock indices rose Monday, while the price of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil remained steady at $63.34 per barrel.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 49 points to reach 45,883 points, while the Nasdaq, which focuses on heavy technology stocks, climbed 207 points to 22,348 points.

The S&P 500 index also increased by about 31 points, closing at 6,615 points.
