New York, Oct. 8 (Petra) -- The UN Security Council is set to convene Wednesday for a special session on the situation in Somalia.

James Swan, Head of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Somalia (UNSOM), will brief the Council on the latest Secretary-General’s report, which outlines developments and the status of mandate implementation for both UNSOM and the UN Support Office in Somalia (UNSOS).
