New York, Sept. 22 (Petra) – Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas affirmed his readiness to work with the United States, Saudi Arabia, France, the United Nations, and all partners to implement the peace plan approved at the conference, within a set timeline and under international oversight and guarantees, paving the way for a just peace and comprehensive regional cooperation.

Speaking via video at the High-level International Conference for the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, Abbas called for an end to settlement expansion, annexation, settler violence, and attacks on Islamic and Christian holy sites in occupied Palestine.

He condemned "the occupation’s policies isolating Jerusalem and statements regarding Israeli expansion, which disregard international law and pose a direct threat to Arab national security and international peace." Abbas emphasized that the State of Palestine continues a comprehensive reform agenda to strengthen governance, transparency, and the rule of law and to establish a unified social welfare system. He reaffirmed the commitment to hold presidential and parliamentary elections within a year after the end of the war and to draft a provisional constitution within three months to ensure the transition from an authority to a fully functioning state.
