In an interview on "Sixty Minutes" aired Friday evening, Momani said Jordan’s international stances are widely respected by the global community.
He noted that the Prime Minister’s field visits are planned, implemented, and followed up institutionally and through field teams, with details announced in quarterly reports.
Momani said positive economic indicators point to continued optimism despite external challenges and global crises, citing higher growth, increased exports and foreign reserves, stronger foreign investment, and the best performance on the Amman Financial Market in more than fifteen years.
He stressed the government’s determination to push forward with the Economic Modernization Vision, which focuses on achieving higher growth and job creation through investment attraction.
Momani emphasized that the private sector remains a core partner in all economic and development initiatives, with ongoing and intensive coordination.
He added that the government has issued over 200 economic decisions in its first year to support economic activity and ease procedures for citizens and investors, helping strengthen key economic indicators.
Momani said implementation continues on several major national projects in the water, energy, and transport sectors, led by the National Water Carrier Project, which will begin construction early next year.
He noted tangible progress in the transport sector, including regular routes now linking Karak, Irbid, and Jerash with the capital, Amman, and plans to extend the Bus Rapid Transit network to neighboring governorates after the successful Amman–Madaba route.
Momani said improving health and education services remains a top priority, with dozens of projects underway to build or expand hospitals, health centers, and schools across the Kingdom. He added that private-sector social responsibility initiatives will complement government efforts in this field.
On the legislative front, Momani highlighted the Prime Minister’s directives to strengthen cooperation with the House of Representatives to advance key draft laws, engaging within the constitutional legislative and oversight framework to further political modernization.
He said the upcoming parliamentary session will debate several important draft laws, including the General Budget Law, the Social Security Law, and the Local Administration Law.
Momani added that the Draft Service Duty Law will be referred to Parliament to enable the Jordan Armed Forces to implement the service program in early February, as announced by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince.
He also said the government will refer the Local Administration Law to Parliament, noting that it will strengthen governance and financial discipline in municipalities and mark an important step in Jordan’s political and administrative reform process.
Regarding the Palestinian issue, Momani reaffirmed that Jordan’s humanitarian role and efforts to alleviate the suffering of the people in Gaza will continue, calling them a source of pride for every Jordanian and Arab, and stressing that Jordan will spare no effort in supporting its brothers and sisters in Gaza.
He added, "We have provided and will continue to provide all that we can to the Palestinian people this is a moral, humanitarian, and Arab duty, and above all, a supreme Jordanian strategic interest to help Palestinians remain on their land and achieve their state." Momani said Jordan’s firm positions and His Majesty’s diplomatic efforts have had a significant impact, encouraging more countries to recognize the State of Palestine.
He described Israel’s recent annexation policies in the West Bank as aggressive and illegal, and commended U.S. and international efforts reaffirming opposition to such actions.
Momani reiterated that Jordan supports all efforts to ease the suffering of the Palestinian people and establish their independent state on Palestinian soil, stressing that the Kingdom will not have any military role in the West Bank or Gaza Strip.
On Jordanian–Syrian relations, Momani said ties continue to develop steadily, with ongoing discussions on several files serving the interests of both countries. He reaffirmed that Jordan’s position is for Syria to remain united, secure, and stable.
On government communication, Momani said efforts are underway to enhance institutional communication, noting that the spokespersons’ portfolio is under the direct follow-up of the Prime Minister.
