Mild Autumn Days Ahead as Temperatures Stay Slightly Above Average

Amman, Oct. 27 (Petra) -- Calm, pleasant autumn weather will dominate the coming days, with temperatures rising slightly above seasonal averages before easing midweek, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.
On Monday, temperatures will climb 3 to 4 degrees Celsius above average, bringing moderate conditions across most regions and a few low clouds appearing from time to time. Southeasterly winds will blow at a moderate pace, turning northwesterly by evening.
Tuesday will see a further, gentle uptick in temperatures, keeping the weather moderate across most areas and relatively warm around the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Light southeasterly winds will shift northwesterly in the evening.
By Wednesday, temperatures will dip slightly, ushering in mild autumn conditions for Wednesday and Thursday. The weather will be pleasant in most regions and moderate near the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with high clouds drifting overhead and moderate northwesterly winds.
Temperature readings for Monday show highs and lows of 29 and 16 degrees Celsius in East Amman, 27 and 14 in West Amman, 25 and 13 in the northern highlands, and 26 and 11 in the Sharah highlands.
In desert areas, temperatures will range between 31 and 14 degrees, while the plains are expected to record 29 and 15 degrees. The northern Jordan Valley will see 34 and 18 degrees, compared to 35 and 19 degrees in the southern Jordan Valley.
Around the Dead Sea, temperatures will reach 34 and 19 degrees, and 34 and 20 degrees in Aqaba.
