Amman, Oct. 15 (Petra) -- The Jordan–UK Tech Connect Forum, held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, underscored both countries’ commitment to deepening cooperation in digital transformation and empowering Jordan’s creative youth.

Participants and ICT experts told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that the partnership between Jordan and the United Kingdom in the technology sector marks a strategic step toward integrating two innovation-driven ecosystems that continue to expand and evolve.

The forum, launched last Monday in London, brought together leaders from the technology industry, entrepreneurs, and representatives of the British government. The Jordanian Embassy in London played a key role in facilitating communication and creating an enabling environment for collaboration.

Fadi Qutaishat, Chairman of the Board at the Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (int@j), said the association is committed to reinforcing Jordan’s position as a regional hub for technology and innovation. He encouraged British and international companies to invest in Jordan, highlighting the Kingdom’s favorable regulatory environment, qualified human talent, and advanced digital infrastructure, which make it an ideal launchpad to regional and global markets.

Nour Khrais, Founder and CEO of Maysalward, a leading Jordanian mobile gaming company, said the Jordanian delegation included several pioneering firms in the gaming industry, reflecting Jordan’s expanding influence in the regional and international digital entertainment sectors. He noted that Jordan’s skilled youth and continuously developing digital infrastructure, paired with the UK’s mature market and expertise, create a strong foundation for innovation, knowledge exchange, and market growth.

Khrais announced the launch of a new digital project titled "Digital Transmissions III", developed in partnership with the British Council, Maysalward, and the Jordan Gaming Lab. The initiative aims to build digital and creative production skills among Jordanian youth through a comprehensive capacity-building program that will conclude in 2026 with an immersive digital experience combining Jordanian cultural heritage with extended reality and gaming technologies. He emphasized that the project, implemented with partners including FutureEverything (UK) and the Goethe-Institut (Jordan), is local in its identity yet global in ambition, opening new pathways for Jordanian artists in digital creative industries.

Mohammad Al-Muhtaseb, CEO of the Jordanian Innovation Fund, said the Crown Prince led the Jordanian ICT delegation at the forum, where participants engaged with their UK counterparts to discuss future cooperation. He noted that highlighting Jordan’s progress in ICT at such a platform serves as a strong promotion for the Kingdom, emphasizing its stability and potential to serve as a global digital hub.

Al-Muhtaseb added that Jordan’s competitive costs, skilled ICT graduates, and strategic location make it an ideal entry point for British companies seeking access to markets in the Middle East and North Africa. He also underscored the importance of investing in Jordanian startups, which have demonstrated resilience and innovation despite challenges, now representing a significant share of the regional startup ecosystem.

He stressed that it is time for Jordanian entrepreneurs to look beyond the region and expand their ventures globally, leveraging the partnerships and opportunities emerging from forums like Jordan–UK Tech Connect.
