He stressed that belief in understanding among peoples is a fundamental pillar of peace and stability and embodies Jordan’s message as a land of brotherhood and coexistence.
He added that the conference agenda includes discussions on the assembly’s activities and parliamentary, political and cultural issues of relevance to the Orthodox world and the international community in a way that contributes to strengthening the values of cooperation and understanding among participating peoples and states.
Haddad noted that the program includes various meetings and visits to Christian pilgrimage sites in the Kingdom, aimed at introducing delegations to Jordan’s rich spiritual and historical heritage and reinforcing its status as a leading global destination for Christian religious tourism.
The Interparliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy, established in 1993, is an international parliamentary platform that seeks to enhance parliamentary and cultural cooperation among its members and to uphold shared Christian and human values.
