Expatriate Remittances Up 3.1% in First Eight Months

Amman, Oct. 13 (Petra) – Preliminary data from the Central Bank of Jordan showed a 3.1 percent increase in total remittances by expatriate workers to the Kingdom during the first eight months of 2025, topping about $3 billion. Outward remittances from the Kingdom, meanwhile, rose by 15.3 percent to $1.142 billion.
Remittances from the United Arab Emirates came first, accounting for 21.6 percent, followed by the United States, 19.3 percent, Saudi Arabia, 18.4 percent, and Qatar, 9.6 percent, the data showed.
As for outward remittances, Egypt ranked first, at 39.1 percent, followed by Bangladesh, 11.0 percent, the UAE, 5.9 percent, and the Philippines, 5.5 percent, according to the data.
