Doha, September 15 (Petra) The Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha continued Monday with further strong condemnations from Arab and Islamic leaders of the recent Israeli attack on Doha and calls for collective action to halt Israel’s aggression against Gaza and the region.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan warned that escalating Israeli aggression threatens the entire region, pointing out that the latest attack on Qatar, a key mediator in the conflict, is particularly alarming.

He accused Israeli politicians of promoting illusions about a "Greater Israel" and called for legal efforts to hold Israeli officials accountable under international law.

Erdoğan urged Islamic countries to strengthen cooperation and apply economic pressure on Israel, while firmly rejecting the displacement of the Palestinian people.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas emphasised that peace and stability in the region are impossible without an end to what he described as Israel’s war of genocide, forced displacement and land theft.

He reiterated the Palestinian demand for an independent state along the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Abbas criticised Israel's far-right government as an obstacle to peace, calling for a decisive Arab-Islamic stance and international intervention particularly from the U.S. and the UN Security Council to stop Israel’s violations.

He thanked countries supporting the Palestinian people and delivering humanitarian aid.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian condemned the attack on Qatar as blatant terrorism intended to sabotage peace efforts in Gaza. He said Israel had crossed all red lines and called for accountability.

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun stated that the real target of the aggression on Doha is the very principle of mediation and diplomacy. He reaffirmed Lebanon’s commitment to peace based on the Arab Peace Initiative.

Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani described the attack as part of a pattern of longstanding Israeli aggression, calling for a collective Arab-Islamic stance in response.

Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud voiced full support for Qatar’s sovereignty and urged the UN Security Council to take immediate action to stop Israel's attacks and uphold international peace and security.

Syrian President Ahmed al-Shara warned that targeting mediators sets a dangerous precedent and linked the attack on Qatar to ongoing Israeli airstrikes in Syria. He expressed solidarity with Qatar against what he called brutal aggression.

Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu said the assault on Doha is an attack on peace itself and decried Israel’s brutality in Gaza as a violation of human dignity that threatens regional hope and stability.

Djibouti’s President Ismail Omar Guelleh condemned the attack as a crime that must not go unpunished, calling for an international investigation and coordinated legal response.

Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait, affirmed that Qatar’s security is inseparable from Arab and Islamic national security.

He warned that repeated Israeli violations of sovereignty threaten the region’s stability and show blatant disregard for international law and global peace efforts.

Sheikh Sabah called on the international community and the Security Council to take immediate and serious measures to stop Israeli aggression and hold perpetrators accountable.

Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Chairman Rashad Alimi stated that the attack confirms the indivisibility of Arab and Islamic security. He warned that the continued genocide in Gaza had emboldened Israel to target Qatar.

Libyan Presidential Council Chairman Mohamed Menfi condemned the attack as one on the entire Arab and Islamic world. He called for a unified stance at the UN, accountability for Israel’s crimes and international protection for Palestinians.

He praised Qatar’s mediation efforts and urged them to continue.

Sudan’s Sovereignty Council Chair Abdel Fattah Burhan said the aggression against Qatar sends a troubling message to the world and called for strong Arab-Islamic action to restore regional order through unity and cooperation.

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim condemned the attack as a barbaric assault on Qatari sovereignty and called for a firm collective response.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif urged the suspension of Israel’s UN membership and proposed the creation of an Arab-Islamic working group to stop what he described as Israeli crimes against humanity.

Omani Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs Shihab bin Tariq emphasised that Qatar’s security is vital to the broader Arab and Islamic world.

He called for this summit to mark the beginning of unified and serious action to end the occupation and ongoing aggression. //Petra// AK
