Czech Embassy in Amman Marks National Day

Amman, Oct. 29 (Petra) – The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Amman hosted a reception on Tuesday evening to celebrate the Czech National Day.
In presence were Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Nancy Namrouqa, alongside a number of officials, members of the diplomatic corps, and representatives of the social and official sectors.
Talking at the ceremony, Czech Ambassador to Jordan Andrea Kucerová said Jordanian-Czech relations are built on mutual trust and continuous respect, citing "openness and appreciation" during her meetings with senior Jordanian officials.
Kucerová highlighted Jordan as a "reliable and important partner" for the Czech Republic in the politics, defense, security, and business fields, emphasizing her country’s appreciation of Jordan’s "constructive" role in the Middle East and its "close" alliance in addressing regional challenges.
Kucerová reaffirmed her country’s commitment to supporting Jordan under humanitarian aid and development cooperation to help alleviate its burdens as a host of a large number of refugees, commending the Kingdom’s humanitarian efforts in this regard.
The diplomat also expressed her gratitude to the Jordanian government, the embassy’s institutional partners, members of the diplomatic community, and the Czech expatriate community in Jordan for their cooperation and support, which have facilitated her and her son’s smooth settlement in Amman.
The event, which featured a jazz performance by renowned Czech musician Matěj Benko, also performed a selection of soft compositions that added an elegant and distinguished atmosphere to the evening.
