Amman, Oct. 30 (Petra) -- A delegation from the Audit Bureau (AB), headed by President Radi Hamadin, took part in the 25th International Congress of Supreme Audit Institutions (INCOSAI 25), held in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
The event brought together heads and representatives of supreme audit institutions, along with regional and international organizations from around the world.
According to an AB statement issued on Thursday, the conference comes at a time when the world faces complex financial and economic crises, giving it "exceptional" importance in strengthening the role of supreme audit institutions in promoting financial stability, addressing crises, and enhancing transparency in the management of public resources.
On the sidelines of the congress, Hamadin and the accompanying delegation held a series of bilateral meetings with several participating supreme audit institutions and international organizations, including those from Portugal, Spain, Qatar, Poland, and the Netherlands, as well as representatives of the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI).
The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation and exchanging expertise in training, capacity building, performance auditing, and developing digital oversight tools.
They also explored opportunities for participation in future initiatives and joint international projects, aimed at enhancing the performance of supreme audit institutions.
Talking at the event, Hamadin said the bureau’s participation in the conference reflects its "commitment" to continuing its role as a permanent member of INTOSAI, underscoring Jordan’s "keenness" to support the global financial oversight system.
He added that the conference serves as a "high-level professional" platform for exchanging expertise, unifying efforts among supreme audit institutions, and developing policies and standards that contribute to sustainable development and the protection of public funds.
