Zarqa University concludes Int'l Digital Communication Conference 2025

Zarqa, Nov. 6 (Petra) – Zarqa University on Thursday wrapped up the International Conference on Digital Communication Conference 2025, which saw participation from leading Arab and international researchers and experts to discuss the latest developments in digital communication and media landscape.
In his closing remarks, Dean of the Faculty of Journalism Media and Conference Chair Amjad Safouri said the event is an "important" scientific platform to showcase the latest research and practical experiences in digital media, and open new avenues for students and researchers to understand the rapid transformations in communication technology.
Organized by the Faculty of Media, Safouri noted the conference outcomes represent a step forward in building a "more advanced and professional" digital media environment, calling for continued cooperation between universities and media institutions to strengthen scientific research and develop the skills of future media professionals.
Safouri noted digital transformations present both opportunities and shared responsibilities, which require collaboration between academia, media, and society to ensure modern technologies serve human development and sustainable growth.
Presenting their recommendations, participants urged media institutions, faculties, and researchers to encourage digital transformation, integrate artificial intelligence in content creation and news verification to enhance credibility and combat misinformation.
They also called for promoting ethical values and responsible content in digital spaces to preserve social and cultural identity, updating academic curricula to align with modern digital media trends, and expanding practical partnerships with media organizations to link education with the labor market.
Additionally, the recommendations called for empowering faculty members with modern digital skills through specialized training and workshops, encouraging future studies on digital communication patterns, the impact of digital media on social and political issues, and research on cybersecurity and privacy protection.
