Amman, Sept. 25 (Petra) - Minister of Transport Nidal Qatamin on Thursday discussed with UN Resident Coordinator Sheri Ritsema-Anderson, ways to benefit from UN programs and expertise in the transport sector to enhance quality of services provided to citizens.

The meeting went over sustainable solutions for modernizing the Kingdom's transport sector and improving services in line with international standards, ensuring better responsiveness to community needs, and raising overall service levels across the Kingdom, according to a Ministry of Transport statement.

Qatamin called for leveraging UN expertise and programs to develop Jordan's local capacities, support modernization efforts, and improve service quality.

Anderson, in turn, affirmed the UN’s "readiness" to provide technical support and share expertise with Ministry of Transport, highlighting the importance of these efforts in advancing sustainable transport projects to serve society.
