Amman, Oct. 15 (Petra) – Director of Public Security Directorate (PSD) Major General Obeidallah Maaytah met on Wednesday with France's Ambassador to Jordan Franck Gellet to discuss ways to strengthen police and security cooperation between the two countries and to expand partnership in training, capacity building, and the exchange of expertise.

Major General Maaytah stressed the PSD's keenness to deepen cooperation and coordination with police and security agencies in the French Republic, noting that such cooperation stems from the strategic and historical relations that bind the two friendly nations across various fields.

For his part, Ambassador Gellet praised the advanced level reached by the Public Security Directorate, highlighting its high professionalism and distinguished capabilities in various areas of police work. He reaffirmed his country’s commitment to maintaining close cooperation with the Directorate in ways that enhance security and stability in both friendly nations.
