Amman, Sept. 25 (Petra)-- Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Sami Smeirat visited the International E-commerce and Logistics Academy, on Thursday, where he examined the key courses and training programs in the domains of digital marketing, logistics, and e-commerce.

"Jordan is making great strides towards strengthening the digital economy and the skills of Jordanian youth, enabling them to actively participate in building a knowledge-based and technology-based economy, based on the royal directives and the vision for economic modernization," Smeirat said during the meeting, which was attended by Jordan Post Company Chairperson of the Board of Directors Sami Al-Daoud, Director General of the Jordan Post Company Hanadi Al-Tayeb, and Academy President Ihab Abu Dayeh, according to a statement.

Smeirat commended the academy's sophisticated and specialized training programs in digital marketing, postal and logistics services, and e-commerce, as well as the management, employees, and trainers' efforts. These initiatives support Jordan's economic development by boosting the skills of its young people and offering job and training opportunities.

Al-Daoud underlined that the academy was established in response to His Majesty the King's vision and high-level directives regarding the significance of training and empowering Jordanian youth, as well as enhancing their capabilities in accordance with the most recent international methods and programs to meet the demands of the changing market and the digital economy, in order to keep up with the demands of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This aligns with His Royal Highness the Crown Prince's desire to help Jordanian youngsters develop their digital skills and stay up to date with contemporary technology across a range of industries.

According to Al-Tayeb, the academy equips young Jordanians with the most up-to-date information and abilities in e-business fundamentals, e-marketing, worldwide marketing, e-commerce, and the use of internet technology in the workplace.

The International Academy's president, Ihab Abu Dayeh, gave a description of the training programs and courses that are currently offered, highlighting the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship's 100-Young Men and Women Training Program, which is supported by the Digital Skills Association. Within three months, the program seeks to equip them with business, digital, and technical skills to prepare them for the workforce. Following the training, they will have immediate career chances.
