Amman, Nov. 18 (Petra) – The Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (int@j), in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship and the Syrian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, will convene the Jordanian–Syrian Information and Communications Technology Forum next Friday in Damascus.

In a statement issued Tuesday, the association said the forum aims to strengthen cooperation between the ICT sectors in both countries by bringing together representatives from 75 Jordanian companies and their Syrian counterparts to examine investment opportunities and expand partnerships in digital transformation, cybersecurity, electronic financial services, artificial intelligence, and advanced software solutions.

The association noted that the event is expected to attract broad participation from public- and private-sector institutions in Jordan and Syria, in addition to senior officials and decision-makers in the digital economy and technology sectors, thereby deepening technical cooperation and advancing Jordanian–Syrian relations.

Fadi Qutaishat, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of int@j, said the forum comes at a time when the Syrian market is witnessing rapid economic and technological shifts, positioning it as an important platform for rebuilding Arab partnerships in the digital sphere.

He highlighted Jordan’s advanced capabilities in software development, electronic financial services, cybersecurity, educational technology, and digital transformation, expertise that enables the Kingdom to contribute effectively to Syria’s digital advancement.

Qutaishat added that Jordanian companies enjoy a strong regional reputation for efficiency, noting that integration with the Syrian market presents a strategic opportunity to broaden cooperation, enhance knowledge exchange, and support business expansion.

He emphasized that int@j continues to empower Jordanian companies to access new markets and build sustainable partnerships that enhance the Arab digital economy and promote innovation and shared growth.
