Jordan, Oman Charities Explore Cooperation to Boost Humanitarian Work

Amman, Sept. 28 (Petra) – The General Union of Voluntary Societies discussed on Sunday ways of cooperation with the Eshrakat Amal Charity Association, part of the Dar Al Attaa Association in Oman, to strengthen fraternal ties and exchange expertise in charitable and humanitarian work.

According to a union statement, the two sides reviewed key programs and initiatives they are implementing and discussed mechanisms for future partnership to expand services for vulnerable groups and enhance the community role of volunteer and charitable work at various levels.

Union President Amer Khawaldeh stressed the importance of coordination and sharing successful experiences between the union and charity organizations in Jordan and Oman, saying such efforts reinforce values of cooperation and solidarity and reflect the depth of ties between the two countries.

He noted the union’s focus on volunteer and humanitarian work as part of its social responsibility to highlight the efforts of those in the field and serve the nation, adding that the union is keen to strengthen partnerships with institutions dedicated to advancing the message of goodwill, giving and service to local communities.

For her part, Eshrakat Amal Chairperson Mona Al Hamed said the association works to support vulnerable and needy groups by providing essential assistance and services to positively impact the lives of individuals and families in need.

The meeting, attended by Union Vice President Barakat Barakat, Director-General Khalil Qubeisi, and Lottery Monitoring Unit Director Shatha Qutaishat, concluded with a presentation on the union’s achievements, mission and goals, and the presentation of a commemorative shield to Al Hamed in recognition of her contributions to humanitarian and charitable work.
