Amman, Nov. 2 (Petra) – The Jordanian Businessmen Association (JBA) and the Business Association of Georgia (BAG) on Sunday signed an agreement to establish the Jordanian-Georgian Business Council, in the presence of Georgia’s Ambassador to Jordan, Archil Dzuliashvili.

Signed at the JBA's headquarters, the agreement aims to strengthen economic, investment, and trade relations between the two countries.

Talking at the signing ceremony, JBA Vice President Osama Emseeh said Jordanian-Georgian relations are witnessing "steady growth," noting that the joint council represents a "strategic" step to expand bilateral investments and partnerships through mutual visits and economic events, particularly in the technology, renewable energy, tourism, agriculture, and education sectors.

Emseeh added that Jordan’s "strategic" projects will help enhance cooperation with Georgia, calling for developing air transport and increasing trade exchange.

Ambassador Dzuliashvili, in turn, said the council's establishment reflects the "shared commitment" to developing economic cooperation, commending Jordan’s economic stability and attractive investment climate.

BAG Executive Director, Levan Vepkhvadze, said the association includes over 500 companies and seeks to double the trade volume and promote joint investments, especially in the energy, hydrogen, industry, and mining sectors.

Vepkhvadze also invited Jordanian investors to benefit from opportunities available in Georgia.

During the meeting, the Ministry of Investment outlined key projects and investment opportunities in Jordan, along with the incentives provided under the Investment Law.

Presentations were also made by the Industrial Estates Corporation (JICE), the Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC), and Jordan Free and Development Zones Group (JFDZ) on advantages available to investors.
