Zarqa, Nov. 17 (Petra) – A green jobs fair, organized by UNICEF in partnership with Bank al Etihad and the Business Development Center, kicked off Monday at the Hashemite University.
The event aims to create new opportunities for young people and empower them to access emerging employment prospects within green economy sectors, in line with Jordan’s efforts to advance a more sustainable future and strengthen resilience to the impacts of climate change.
The fair enabled students and recent graduates to engage directly with more than 30 institutions and organizations specializing in renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, green building, environmental innovation, and other sectors that support sustainable growth in Jordan and the region.
The exhibition featured interactive workshops on enhancing employability skills, including resume development, interview preparation, and exploring career paths in sustainability and green jobs.
Participants also received individual career guidance sessions from certified counselors, in addition to integrated psychosocial and health support services.
The exhibition was organized as part of UNICEF’s efforts to strengthen partnerships between the academic and private sectors and to create practical platforms that equip Jordanian youth with essential skills and facilitate access to future employment opportunities in green fields.
