Amman, Nov. 16 (Petra) - Prime Minister Jafar Hassan on Sunday reaffirmed the government’s firm commitment to safeguarding the investment environment, stressing that any investor facing undue obstacles has recourse to Jordan’s integrity, oversight, and judicial institutions.
During a meeting with Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission (JIACC) Chairman Muhannad Hijazi, the Prime Minister said he will personally follow up on relevant cases to ensure justice is served and that any individual found to have impeded an investment project is held accountable in accordance with the law and the principles of fair judicial process.
Hassan directed the relevant ministers to cooperate fully with the Commission on matters involving investors, emphasizing the responsibility of public institutions to provide a supportive and predictable environment for investment and to facilitate the work of businesses.
He stressed that, while no official or entity is permitted to obstruct or delay investment procedures, the government will likewise not allow any investor to exert pressure on decision-makers or seek advantages outside the established legal and regulatory framework. "There will be no leniency toward anyone who misuses authority or violates the law to hinder investment," he said.
For his part, Hijazi said the Commission assigns priority attention to all investment-related cases to ensure integrity, fairness, and the protection of investor rights. He noted that the Commission’s doors remain open to receive complaints, supported by a dedicated channel for investment-related submissions, all of which are handled seriously and in line with legal procedures.
