King meets with Japan defence minister

Tokyo, Nov. 10 (Petra) -- His Majesty King Abdullah II met with Japan Defence Minister Koizumi Shinjiro in Tokyo on Monday to discuss the latest developments in the region, and opportunities to enhance military cooperation between Jordan and Japan.
The meeting also addressed efforts to achieve peace in the Middle East, and the need for all parties to adhere to the agreement to end the war on Gaza, and ensure the flow of humanitarian aid to all parts of the Strip.
For his part, Minister Koizumi praised the strong ties between Jordan and Japan, commending the Kingdom’s efforts to achieve peace and stability in the Middle East.
The meeting was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad, His Majesty’s chief adviser for religious and cultural affairs and personal envoy; Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi; Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh; and Jordan’s Ambassador to Japan Nasser Shraideh.
