Amman, Nov. 18 (Petra) Director General of the National Aid Fund (NAF) Khitam Al Shinikat met Tuesday with Egypt’s Deputy Minister of Social Solidarity and Head of the Central Administration for Social Protection Ahmed Abdelrahman to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise between the two countries in the field of social protection.

During the meeting, officials reviewed the Fund’s programs, including the Unified Cash Support Programme, targeting and verification mechanisms, and monthly assistance schemes, as well as economic empowerment initiatives aimed at enhancing self-reliance among beneficiary families.

The visit also included a tour of the Fund’s premises to observe the work of the Call Center, its procedures for receiving and handling inquiries and complaints, and a visit to the digital mapping department to examine the role of technology in supporting field monitoring operations.

Al Shinikat stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation and exchanging expertise between Jordan and Egypt in ways that improve the quality of services provided to the most vulnerable groups.

For his part, the Egyptian official praised the development of Jordan’s social protection systems, emphasizing the need to maintain coordination and knowledge exchange between the two sides.
