Amman, Nov 19 (Petra) – A six-year-old girl was rushed to a hospital in the northern Badia on Tuesday after being beaten to death by her father, but was later proclaimed dead, the Public Security Department media spokesperson said.

Medical reports and investigations confirmed she was fatally beaten and that the father, who was taken into custody, confessed to the crime, he said.

The case was referred to the judiciary as the father was held in a correctional and rehabilitation center facing the charge of intentional homicide.
