2 Palestinians killed by Israel army, settlers in occupied West Bank

Ramallah, Nov 3 (Petra) – A 17-year-old Palestinian succumbed to his wounds early morning hours after he was fatally shot by Israeli occupation forces in a village, east of Nablus in the northern West Bank, the Palestinian Health Ministry said.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said Jamil Hanani was hit in the chest by a live round during an army raid last night on Beit Furik village. He was transferred to Rafidia Governmental Hospital in Nablus, where he was pronounced dead.

Also early Monday, a Palestinian man was shot and killed by Jewish settler at the northern entrance to Hebron in the southern West Bank, the ministry said in a press release.

It said 32-year-old Ahmad Al-Atrash was shot in the head by a settler at the entrance, close to a bypass road designated for settlers.

Israeli occupation forces barred Red Crescent medics access to the scene, leaving the victim to bleed to death, and took his body to an unknown location.

The targeting of Al-Atrash took to 14 the number of Palestinians killed by settler gunfire since the beginning of the year, while the total since October 7, 2023, climbed to 35, according to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission.

It comes amid escalating settler attacks across the West Bank, which have been carried out with the complicity and under the protection of the Israeli occupation army.
