Amman, Sept. 19 (Petra)-- After Jordan, Syria, and the United States adopted the road map to address the conflict in the As Suwayda region of the Syrian Arab Republic, international reactions remained positive. The territorial integrity of Syria and the idea that all Syrians are equal citizens of their nation serve as the foundation for this.
These nations and organizations valued Jordan's and the United States' tremendous efforts to attain the roadmap and end the crisis.
Tom Fletcher, UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator , praised the plan to stabilize southern Syria and put an end to the As-Suwayda situation.
The adoption of a road map to end the crisis in Syria's As Suwayda Governorate was also welcomed by Libya today. The country emphasized that the agreement is a step toward bolstering national reconciliation and defending Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity, which will help the region achieve security, stability, and sustainable development.
In order to maintain Syria's territorial integrity and the idea of national unity among all Syrians, the unveiling of a road map to end the crisis in the Syrian city of Sweida was warmly received by Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Yamahi, the speaker of the Arab Parliament. He reaffirmed the Arab Parliament's unwavering support for any initiatives aimed at bringing stability to Syria, fostering unity among the Arab people, and advancing their hopes for a life of dignity, security, peace, and prosperity.
In this regard, Al-Yamahi commended the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan's efforts to facilitate this settlement by convening the tripartite meeting in Amman, which was attended by the Jordanian Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, the Syrian Foreign Minister, and the US Special Envoy to Syria.
According to Denmark, the roadmap created to achieve security in Sweida has been noted.
Additionally, the United States praised "countries like Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Turkey for intensifying their efforts to support Syria," stating that it had collaborated with "our Jordanian partners" and the Syrian government to create a reconciliation roadmap.
The blueprint was welcomed by Panama, which said it shows the Syrian Interim Authorities' commitment to fostering peace in a number of key places with assistance from the US and Jordan.
Slovenia also praised the United States, Jordan, and Syria's approach for resolving the As Suwayda conflict.
The blueprint to end the As Suwayda conflict and bring stability to southern Syria was hailed by Algeria, as well as by Guyana, Sierra Leone, and Somalia.
A "warm" welcome to the roadmap as a first step toward long-term de-escalation was given by France.
