Amman, Sept 16 (Petra) – The Queen Alia Heart Institute has introduced the ARC device to connect intensive care unit patients on a single screen, in line with the latest international standards and guidelines, and approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). It is the first of its kind in Jordan and the region.

The announcement came during a training workshop at the institute, part of the Royal Medical Services’ strategy to adopt advanced medical technologies.

The ARC device integrates artificial intelligence into clinical workflows, enabling smarter decision-making, streamlined operations and improved patient outcomes. It provides real-time monitoring of patients, seamless connection with medical equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps and dialysis machines, and full integration with electronic medical records. By converting fragmented data into actionable insights, the system allows physicians to deliver safer, faster and more efficient care.

Brig. Gen. Dr. Sahel Hammouri, Director-General of the Royal Medical Services, said the policy is to continuously introduce cutting-edge medical technologies to keep pace with global developments, improve efficiency and ensure high-quality patient care.

Brig. Gen. Dr. Issa Hijazi, Director of the Queen Alia Heart Institute, said the ARC device has been activated in the open-heart surgery ICU. Medical staff have been trained to use the system, which allows them to monitor patient conditions through a single screen and carry out timely interventions as needed.
