Amman, Dec. 17 (Petra) -- The External Patrols Department at the Public Security Directorate (PSD) confirmed that traffic on all major roads across the Kingdom remains smooth and uninterrupted as of Wednesday morning, despite ongoing rainfall in most areas.
In the northern governorates, heavy rain is affecting sections of the Amman–Irbid highway near the Seil Jerash area, while intermittent showers have been reported on the Mafraq–Zarqa road near Sahel Al-Dabba and along the Husha road. Other northern routes are experiencing cloudy conditions without significant disruptions.
Central regions continue to see rainfall across all roads, while southern areas have recorded rain along the Desert Highway, particularly in Qatraneh, Al-Hasa, and Dabbat Hanout, in addition to Wadi Araba Road and sections near Jafr and Tuba, as well as the Unaizah and Shidiya areas.
The Department also reported occasional fog formation in the Ras Al-Naqab area, with visibility temporarily dropping to around 100 meters at times, noting that conditions have since improved and visibility is currently clear.
Drivers were urged to remain alert, reduce speed when necessary, and comply with traffic guidance to maintain road safety under changing weather conditions.
