Amman, Sept 15 (Petra) – Lawmakers on Monday said that His Majesty King Abdullah II’s address at the emergency Arab-Islamic summit in Doha reflected Jordan’s steadfast stance on Arab and Islamic causes, voicing clear condemnation of Israel’s aggression against Qatar.

In separate remarks to the Jordan News Agency (Petra), deputies stressed that the King’s speech underscored Israel’s assault as a blatant violation of international law and a dangerous escalation fueling further violence in the region.

Deputy Speaker of the House, Mustafa Al-Khasawneh, said the King’s address embodied Jordan’s unwavering position in defending Arab and Islamic nations against aggression, particularly Israel’s recent attack on Qatar. He noted that the King urged the summit to adopt practical measures to confront the threat.

Chairman of the Jordan-Qatar Parliamentary Friendship Committee, MP Awni Al-Zoubi, said the King’s remarks carried deep political significance, especially in reaffirming solidarity with Qatar. He highlighted the King’s use of strong phrases such as "brutal Israeli aggression," "blatant violation of international law," and "Israel’s impunity," underscoring Jordan’s categorical rejection of violations of Arab sovereignty.

MP Dina Al-Bashir, head of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, said the King warned of Israel’s extremist policies aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause and called for unified Arab resolve against displacement schemes. She stressed the King’s emphasis that Israel’s threat knows no bounds and must be met with clear and decisive responses.

For his part, MP Khamees Attieh, head of the Irada and Islamic National Bloc, said the King’s speech reflected the conscience of the Arab and Islamic world, reaffirming Jordan’s longstanding defense of the Palestinian cause and rejection of ongoing Israeli aggression, most recently the assault on Doha. He described the address as a unifying Arab call to strengthen solidarity and overcome divisions.

MP Ibrahim Al-Tarawneh, head of the Mithaq Bloc, said the King’s message carried vital implications for Arab and Muslim leaders, urging unity in confronting Israeli arrogance, which he said now poses a grave threat to the entire region.
