Amman, October 7 (Petra) - Amid the increasing humanitarian challenges facing the people of the Gaza Strip, Jordan remains "steadfast" in its principles of humanity and solidarity.

Marking the beginning of the Israeli aggression on the strip on October 7, 2023, Jordan continues its ongoing efforts to provide relief and support to the people of Palestine through all means, including air and land, under continuous humanitarian, medical, and relief initiatives.

Jordan has also established bakeries, sent field hospitals to the strip's northern and southern regions, delivered food by land and air, established blood banks, treated amputees, transported sick children for treatment in Jordan, and provided water to the thirsty Gazans.

Over the course of two full years, Gazans felt Jordan's support at every moment, as 840,000 people visited Jordan's field hospitals operating in Gaza. Amputated limbs were restored to 637 people through precise, rapid, and qualitative surgeries within 13 months of their operation.

Monitored by "Petra," these statistics are based on official Jordanian data issued by the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF)- Arab Army, Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), and humanitarian organizations operating in and outside the Gaza Strip.

The data revealed JAF and partners conducted 564 airdrops, while more than 201 aid convoys reached Gaza. Free bread was provided to the strip, distributing 17 million loaves of bread around the clock, while 210,000 mobile homes were established for displaced Gazans.

Out of the total airdrops, JAF alone carried out 164 operations, while 400 airdrops were conducted in cooperation and partnership with Arab and friendly countries.

Jordan established two Jordanian field hospitals in the Gaza Strip, the first was Jordanian Field Hospital/83 in the northern Gaza Strip, which began operating on October 7, 2023, and was transferred to the southern strip on September 22, 2025.

Meanwhile, Jordanian Field Hospital/7, which was launched in the southern strip, began providing services on November 20, 2023.

To date, a total of over 840,000 patients were treated in these two field hospitals, including 131,997 at Jordanian Field Hospital/83, where 612 major and minor surgeries were performed.
