Jerash, Sept. 25 (Petra)--During a visit to Dar Ne’meh – Jerash, a flagship project of the Princess Taghrid Institute for Training and Development (PTI), representatives from the GX Global Community-Based Tourism Summit 2025 were treated to the warmth of Jordanian hospitality.

While interacting with local women artisans, attendees in Jerash were greeted with wood-fired tea and freshly baked bread from a traditional taboun oven. These discussions provided firsthand knowledge of how community tourism is opening up new doors for Jordanian women, young people, and craftspeople.

"Welcoming GX participants to Dar Ne'meh – Jerash reflects Jordan's role as a regional and global hub for sustainable community-based tourism," said Aghadir Jweihan, General Director of PTI. These genuine encounters not only highlight Jordan's genuine personality but also give women and young people the chance to build a better future.

Dar Ne'meh channels tourism into sustainable livelihoods by combining meals, handicrafts, and training programs. The visit served as a concrete illustration for many participants of how tourism can have a positive impact on local communities.

Nearly 700 international tourism leaders, media professionals, and changemakers came together for the GX Summit, which was held in Amman in conjunction with World Tourism Day. The summit's central theme that community-based tourism is a means of achieving inclusive and long-lasting impact was emphasized by their visit to Jerash.
