Amman, Prague Explore Municipal Cooperation

Amman, Nov. 13 (Petra) – Mayor of Amman, Yousef Shawarbeh, on Thursday discussed with Ambassador of the Czech Republic, Andrea Kučerová, ways to strengthen cooperation and joint work between Amman and Prague.
Talking at the meeting held at Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) headquarters, Shawarbeh praised the "distinguished" Jordanian–Czech relations, based on continuous cooperation across multiple fields.
He reviewed the GAM's strategic plans and upcoming projects aimed at improving public services and enhancing quality of life, particularly in digital transformation, smart public transport, and other municipal sectors, as part of efforts to transform Amman into a smart and sustainable city.
Shawarbeh affirmed GAM’s "commitment" to bolstering bilateral ties between Amman and Prague and supporting areas of joint work that serve both countries' interests.
Kučerová, in turn, commended Amman’s progress in various sectors, highlighting GAM’s efforts to upgrade infrastructure and improve service delivery for the city and its residents.
The diplomat also expressed her government’s readiness to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise in ways that benefit both nations.
