Al-Balqa' University Launches Conference on Sustainability, Innovation in Business

Salt, Nov. 11 (Petra) -- The second international conference of the Faculty of Business at Al-Balqa' Applied University opened Tuesday under the theme "The Future of Sustainability in the Business Environment: Tourism Development, Innovation, and Resilience." The three-day event brings together representatives from several Arab countries, including Palestine, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, Morocco, Iraq, and Algeria, to strengthen academic cooperation and exchange expertise on sustainability and innovation.
Opening the conference, Chair of the University’s Board of Trustees Umayya Toukan underscored the importance of aligning efforts across educational, public, and private institutions to advance sustainability practices in various economic sectors through enhanced communication, integration, and experience-sharing.
University President Ahmed Ajlouni said the conference serves as a scientific platform uniting experts, researchers, and policymakers to explore the future of sustainable business amid global economic and digital transformations.
He reaffirmed the university’s commitment to fostering innovation and promoting collaboration between local and international academic and professional institutions to support sustainable development in Jordan and the wider Arab region.
Dean of the Faculty of Business Mohammed Nusour said the conference’s sessions focus on key themes such as tourism development, innovation, and organizational resilience in business, while also showcasing case studies and experiences from institutions and companies worldwide.
