Amman, Nov. 14 (Petra)-- There will be a noticeable dip in temperature, on Friday, and the weather will continue to be erratic, ranging from partly cloudy to sporadically cloudy. Particularly in the western regions of the Kingdom, sporadic showers are anticipated, God willing. In certain places, these heavy showers may be accompanied by thunder and hail, which might cause flash floods in low-lying areas and valleys.
Winds will be moderate to brisk, with sporadic strong gusts that might cause dust to rise, particularly in desert areas.
The Jordan Meteorological Department cautions of the possibility of flash floods in low-lying areas and valleys, such as the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea region. Additionally, it warns of decreased visibility owing to dust, especially in desert regions, and decreased visibility due to fog across hilly areas and portions of the plains, with visibility occasionally dropping to zero on desert routes.
Today's highest and lowest temperatures are between 18 and 11 degrees Celsius in East Amman, 16 and 9 in West Amman, 15 and 10 in the northern highlands, 16 and 8 in the Shara highlands, 22 and 9 in the desert areas, 18 and 11 in the plains areas, 27 and 15 in the northern Jordan Valley, 28 and 18 in the southern Jordan Valley, 27 and 18 in the Dead Sea, and 26 and 16 in the Gulf of Aqaba.
