Official reiterates support to Arab students at Jordanian universities

Amman, Sep. 10 (Petra) - Acting Secretary General of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Shadi Masaadeh, affirmed the ministry's "keenness" to follow up on all affairs of Arab students at Jordanian colleges and universities.

Massadeh stated these overseas students represent their countries in Jordan and are the Kingdom's ambassadors after their graduation.

During a meeting with a number of Arab advisors and cultural attachés in Amman, Masaadeh highlighted the ministry's attention paid to Arab students and its efforts to follow up on all their issues at Jordanian universities.

Masaadeh, who is also Chairman of the Committee for Recruiting International Students, noted the ministry works to increase their numbers by developing overall admission policies, strengthening previous "good" practices and overcoming all difficulties facing overseas students.

Masaadeh added that Jordanian universities strive for excellence by offering in-demand specializations in the regional and global labor market and applying the "necessary" global standards to improve quality of Jordanian higher education outcomes.

Masaadeh affirmed that the ministry's relevant officials will work to follow up on all proposed issues to achieve interests of Arab students and contribute to increasing students enrolled in Jordanian universities.

In turn, the attendees praised the "outstanding" level of education at Jordanian public and private universities and their graduates' competency, who have proven their excellence in various fields.

They also commended the ministry's role in communicating with them and organizing numerous activities and events for international students.
