Amman, Dec 17 (Petra) – The Jordan Armed Forces- Arab Army (JAF) on Wednesday began medical tests for young conscripts, referring them to medical committees across the Kingdom to streamline procedures and save them time and effort.

The head of the JAF Mobilization and Popular Army Department said "those required for military service have been distributed across three regions, and military hospitals and medical centers have been designated according to a geographical division, as follows: 1. Northern Region: It includes the governorates of Irbid, Jerash, Ajloun, and Mafraq. The conscripts will be received at the Prince Rashid Military Hospital in Irbid Governorate.

2. Central Region: It includes the capital, Amman, and the governorates of Zarqa, Madaba, and Balqa. The Khaw Medical Center, located next to the Military Recruitment Center in Zarqa Governorate, has been designated to receive conscripts.

3. Southern Region: Due to distances, this region has been divided between two military hospitals: those from Karak and Tafila governorates will be received at Prince Ali bin Hussein Military Hospital in Karak Governorate, and those from the Ma'an and Aqaba governorates will report to the Prince Hashim bin Abdullah II Military Hospital in Aqaba Governorate.

The Director of Medical Committees and Health Insurance said the conscripts will undergo all prescribed stages of medical testing to ascertain their level of physical fitness, explaining that no grade will be granted, but they will be classified either fit or unfit.

The regulation is out of JAF's commitment to easing procedures for conscripts and fairly distributing them on military hospitals and medical centers to ensure a quick medical and administrative screening and entrench interest in military service as a national duty that enhances belonging and responsibility among Jordanian youth.
