Amman, Dec. 12 (Petra)-- There is still a chance of light rain showers in some parts of northern and central Jordan, on Friday. The weather will be foggy, cold, and partly overcast to occasionally cloudy. There will be sporadic mild to moderate rains in the southwest. Throughout the night, the likelihood of precipitation will progressively decline. The winds will be moderate in pace, westerly to northwesterly, and sporadically vigorous.

In its report, the Meteorological Department issues a warning about the potential for flash floods and rising water levels in low-lying areas and valleys in certain portions of the southwestern regions during the morning. Additionally, it alerts people to the possibility of slick conditions and decreased horizontal visibility in the morning due to fog and low-lying clouds over mountainous regions and portions of the plains. The prediction is that tomorrow, Saturday, will see a small increase in temperature. The Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will experience pleasant weather, while the majority of places will experience frigid temperatures. There will be moderate, northwesterly winds.

On Sunday and Monday, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will have milder temperatures, although the majority of places will still experience cold weather. There will be moderate easterly winds and a few clouds at different heights.

East Amman will see maximum and minimum temperatures of 13 to 9 degrees Celsius today, West Amman between 11 and 7, the northern highlands between 9 and 6, the Shara highlands between 8 and 5, the desert regions between 15 and 6, the plains between 13 and 9, the northern Jordan Valley between 20 and 13, the southern Jordan Valley between 22 and 15, the Dead Sea between 21 and 14, and the Gulf of Aqaba between 22 and 13.
